Open Enrollment Period (OEP)

Usually occurs every year between October 15 and December 7.  During this time Medicare members can change their plan if they’d like to.

Medicare Dis-enrollment Period

Usually occurs from January 1 to February 14th.  During this time Medicare enrollees can dis-enroll from their Medicare Advantage (Part C) plans and return to Original Medicare, they can also enroll in a stand-alone prescription drug plan (PDP).

Initial Enrollment Period (IEP)

Usually occurs when a newly eligible Medicare beneficiary’s Part B (Medical) coverage begins. This allows them a window of time to get onto a Medicare product of their choice.
